On February 12th at 9:45 p.m., Reiner Holzemer's documentary film LARS EIDINGER - TO BE OR NOT TO BE will be broadcast on TV for the first time. ARTE is showing the portrait of the exceptional actor, which is 40 minutes shorter than the theatrical version, as part of the Berlinale focus.
The director Reiner Holzemer approaches the artist without prejudice. He observes him for the first time during rehearsals for Everyman in Salzburg, for Hamlet and Richard III at the Berlin Schaubühne and during filming in Paris. This gives the audience an intimate insight into the artist's working methods. In addition, Holzemer describes Eidinger's artistic career in biographical flashbacks, who initially pursued a tennis career before learning his later craft at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts.
LARS EIDINGER – TO BE OR NOT TO BE will be available in the ARTE media library from February 10th to March 13th.
